Timeliness & Studio Etiquette

It is essential that students arrive on time for their lessons. If a student arrives early, please have them wait in the designated waiting area so they do not disturb lessons already in progress. Please note that the waiting area will not be available during group lessons. Lessons will always end at the scheduled time, even if a student arrives late.

Parents may wait in their vehicles, use the waiting area when available, or step out briefly for a quick errand. For everyone’s safety, the studio is equipped with video surveillance.

We ask that students respect their instructors and fellow classmates by keeping noise low, handling instruments responsibly, and following studio guidelines during lessons.

Lesson Cancellations & Rescheduling

Missed lessons cannot be rescheduled. The studio reserves the right to cancel a lesson at its discretion due to instructor illness, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the studio cancels a lesson, it will always be rescheduled to ensure students receive the lessons they paid for.

Payments

All payments are non-refundable. Payments can be made via Interac E-Transfer, credit card, or cash.

Private lessons: A minimum of four lessons must be prepaid before the first lesson. Subsequent payments are due every four lessons unless the student discontinues lessons. If you decide to discontinue, please notify us as far in advance as possible to avoid being charged for the next cycle. Due to high demand, if a student stops lessons and wishes to return later, their spot may no longer be available.

Group lessons: Full payment for the entire program must be made before the first lesson.

Music Materials

We encourage families to speak with the instructor before purchasing any books or instruments. While we recommend that students invest in their own instrument and resources, the studio has some materials and instruments available for use during lessons.

My Music Books: New this year, we are offering My Music Books for $10.00 each. This journal/communication book helps track student progress and provides a way for instructors and parents to communicate. We encourage all students to take advantage of this tool!

Print Materials: A $1.00 fee applies for printing lyrics or other handouts that support your child’s learning.

Important Notes

• Payments must be received promptly after submitting a registration, otherwise you risk losing your spot. This is considered an incomplete registration.
• There will be no lessons taught on Provincial or Federal Holidays and you will not be charged for these days.
